Lawyer-to-lawyer referral network

Refer the cases you don’t handle. Keep the client and protect your fee.

No firm practices every area of law. Andrew places your client with a qualified firm, keeps you informed and involved, and makes sure your referral fee is paid when the case resolves.

How it works

Five steps, start to finish.

  1. The client calls youA past client needs help in an area you don’t practice and calls the lawyers they trust.
  2. You choose the firmPick a qualified firm by practice area and jurisdiction from the network directory.
  3. The client approvesThe client agrees to the referral and each lawyer’s share in writing at the outset.
  4. You stay involvedReal status updates reach you at every stage, and the record of your involvement is kept.
  5. Your fee is paidBoth firms are alerted at settlement or verdict, so your fee arrives with the money.

The referral fee that never arrived

A firm refers a strong medical malpractice case to a friend on a handshake. Five years later it resolves for $3 million, and the referring lawyer hears about it from the client in a grocery store. Most referral fees are lost this way. On Andrew, the agreement is on file from day one and nobody forgets.

For the firm receiving the case

  • Qualified clients, ready to go. Intake arrives complete, so the client tells the story once.
  • Compliance handled. Consent, fee terms and updates are documented for you.
  • Join in minutes. Firms not yet on Andrew join to accept the case.

Compliance built in

Fee division done the way the rules require.

Fee sharing between firms is governed by ABA Model Rule 1.5(e) and each state’s version of it. Andrew enforces the requirements firms most often skip.

  1. Client agreement at the start. Each lawyer’s share is approved by the client in writing at the outset, not at settlement.
  2. Real involvement, documented. A referring lawyer who does not split the work must take joint responsibility. Andrew keeps them informed and records it.
  3. The client knows. The client is told in writing that the referring lawyer remains involved.
  1. State rules applied automatically. Fee caps and signature requirements follow the governing state.
  2. Confidentiality and conflicts. Intake moves only with client consent, after a conflict check.
  3. No fee sharing with Andrew. Andrew is paid by subscription and never takes a share of any lawyer’s fee.
